Assessing the Moderating Effects of Government Role and Support on Development of Agricultural and Cultural Heritage Tourism

Abstract
The integration of agricultural and cultural heritage tourism has emerged as an important strategy for promoting sustainable rural development and community welfare. This study examines the interplay of attraction and promotion in enhancing agricultural and cultural heritage tourism. Furthermore, it investigates the moderating role of government support in the relationships between key tourism determinants and tourism development. A quantitative approach was employed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) to analyze data collected from 373 respondents in a rural tourism destination. The results reveal that cultural heritage and agricultural attractions and government support have significant positive effects on tourism development. Furthermore, government support acts as a moderating factor, strengthening the influence of image and promotion on tourism development.
