The Moderating Role of Hybrid Work Flexibility on the Relationship Between Work-Life Balance and Employee Well-Being
Abstract/Description
This study explores the relationship between work-life balance (WLB), hybrid work flexibility (HWF), and employee well-being (EWB) in the context of post-pandemic hybrid work environments. Drawing on the Job Demands-Resources (JD-R) theory, the research examines how HWF moderates the effect of WLB on EWB using data from 298 hybrid workers across various sectors. Findings reveal that while WLB significantly enhances employee well-being, HWF strengthens this positive relationship as a moderating factor. However, HWF alone does not directly impact well-being. The study highlights the need for organizations to integrate flexible work policies with broader strategies that promote balance and autonomy to optimize employee outcomes.
